Take a behind the scenes look at my first time attending Virginia’s premier social and horseracing event of the year. Coming together for rich cuisine, likeminded people, open bar and horse racing can be the cure to a rainy, muddy, chilly day. It was a great change of scenery from the usual DC bars, clubs and events. Inside the Hawthorne Hemlock tent I ran into so many people from different walks of life including a few of the Real Housewives of Potomac, who are always a good time. Aside from the weather, my indifference towards horse racing, a few too many Prosecco glasses and our charter bus getting stuck in the mud on the way back, I thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday. Mark your calendars for next year.
