Miami Swim Week Highlights 2018

Britt Waters Free Bella Swim

One summer week that never disappoints, Miami Swim Week. For me it is a celebration of everything summer. Designers, journalists, fashion bloggers, influencers and vacationers come together to take over the city where the heat is on. I thought I would highlight my favorite moments in the magic city.

Dinner at Gianni’s

This year was special because three of my good girlfriends joined me. Our first night in Florida we dined at Gianni’s, sitting by the foundation at the former Versace mansion. I had spent the weeks prior obsessing over the FX American Crime Story television show about the late designer’s assassination so my curiosity was at an all-time high.

Among the many swimwear shows the most unconventional one I attended was, Free Bella Swim. Their show was more of an intimate gathering of content creators on the Kascades Suites rooftop. The designer mingled with us while sharing facts about her sustainable swimwear line and bikinis made from water bottles. I also saw women I had seen at previous shows in a more relaxed setting.

I spent my free time gazing street art at Wynwood Walls, cheering on my Phillies at Marlins Park, and snacking at the Wharf. My nights were spent in South Beach, party hopping on Collins Ave and actually getting social media tips from fashion designers while dancing at club Eleven.

It is a privilege to learn about brands I represent, network with other women in media and explore a new city with my friends. It is my honor to share this experience with those that support me. Cheers to a great Summer 2018 and to wearing SPF all year long!
