After years of being the Jersey girl that relocated to the nations capital, I finally feel at home. Although I will never be a Redskins fan, I can say I have grown to not only appreciate, but also contribute to the art and culture that makes Washington, DC special. Being on the radio and having a TV show that focuses on local artists has given me the privilege to expand my horizons and watch so much talent develop first hand.

It is obvious why I jumped at the chance to be a part of the annual Titan Arts Awards that rewards individuals and organizations for their artistic accomplishments and cultural impact. The night was filled with powerful performances, heartfelt speeches and genuine connections being made. Presenting awards put me in a room full of creatives all working towards the same goal. I saw so many familiar faces I had the pleasure of working with over the years and some glimpses of who is up next. Sometimes a little acknowledgment is all someone needs to to stay motivated. I am so grateful to be part of that push.
