In December of 2018, two months after my radio station flipped, I got the opportunity of a lifetime. For more than a year, I lived my dreams on-air every weekend in the #1 market of New York City on Entercom’s WNEW 102.7 with upbeat variety. In March 2020, I unknowingly hosted my last show as the Covid-19 pandemic limited travel and has had me staying put in Washington, DC ever since.
God answered my prayers and sent me an angel in the form of NEW 102.7’s program director, Jim Ryan. He gave me expert advice and an opportunity to be on-air in NYC. It reassured my confidence, flexed my experience, taught me so much, and gave me fun memories I’ll hold on to for a lifetime. Traveling from DC to NY every weekend was a journey that allowed me to focus on my dream, exercise discipline, and spend some valuable time with my family in Jersey.
I appreciate all the spirited New York listeners, laughs, tears, jokes, naps on the train/bus, slices of pizza, times lost on the NY subway, and nights on my friends’ couches. In a way, I’m glad I never said goodbye because I know I’ll be back to concrete jungle again. Until then, check me out on-air in a new way, as I join the SiriusXM / Pandora family as host of their Thumb 20 Countdown Show. Always follow me on instagram and YouTube to get to know me even better.
Your support keeps me going and is forever appreciated.
